A message for our exhibitors. We want you to know that we have an excellent track record with our vendors, our sponsors and our community. For the past 12 years our intensive experience staging community events is well known in the area, and our events are very well attended by local residents. Our events are well publicized in area newspapers and magazines, and on radio and TV. We have a large crew of volunteers who have years of experience in festival operations and customer service to our vendors. We encourage you to join us for the Pig Fest, known around the state as the "best little cook-off in Georgia. Pig Fest XIII will take place on historic Broad Street in downtown Richland Nov. 12 - 13, 2010. The building at the right is the recently restored historic hotel building, which serves as the centerpiece for the festival. The hotel is available for rental for private events and parties through Richland City Hall, except during PIg Fest Weekend when the hotel serves as the hub for all Pig Fest activities. (City Hall can be reached at 229-887-3323 for booking arrangements at the hotel.) All arts & crafts exhibitors and commercial vendors are located on Broad Street (shown above), which is the main concourse for the festival. The historic hotel building serves as gallery space for selected artists and provides space for our wine bar, which is open to the public. The grass plaza east of the hotel hosts our beer tent which is supplied by one of our major sponsors, Albany Beverage Co. The Sowega Big Wheelers display their antique tractors on the lawn and the main entertainment stage is located on Depot Street by the plaza. The Pig Fest features a food court with a wide variety of choices for every taste near the stage. This year the Classic and Antique Car Show returns for your enjoyment. SOWEGA Big Wheelers Tractor Club will be exhibiting their beautiful antique tractors at the hotel. The North American Railcar Operators Association will be giving rides in their "speeder" cars on Richland's tracks, bringing Richland's rich rail history back to life at the historical Depot, which houses City Hall and our Train Museum across the street from the hotel and main stage. Street dances will feature name bands on Friday and Saturday nights and Saturday night festivities will kick off with a professional fireworks display at nightfall accompanied by live music designed for the display. Don't miss a moment of the fun.
